YOUR ROLE

·Category Development Manager is responsible for leveraging Consumer, Category and Shopper Insights to identify business growth opportunities that will drive profitable growth for Walmart and Henkel.

·Play an integral role in developing strategic planning and execution initiatives with the customer that elevate our influence with the customer.

·Role will be actively engaged building strong working relationships across multiple levels of leadership both internally and externally.

·Provide category and shopper-centric analysis using multiple data points, including syndicated data, retailer specific systems

·Proactively identify category trends and opportunities to drive category and brand growth

·Partner with our internal cross functional teams to develop category strategies, executions and selling stories

·Provide insights to inform and support development of channel/customer specific executions

·Lead Category reviews and development of assortment & POG analysis and executions,

·Analyze and evaluate new item performance and promotional effectiveness across category

YOUR SKILLS

  • BS and 5+ years of CPG experience, with 2+ years in Category Management/Shopper Insights role
  • Ability to influence decision makers across all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Ability to proactively take initiative to identify customer category insights and translate them into actions
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of syndicated data (POS and Panel) and consumer/shopper insights; proficiency using Space Management applications (ProSpace) a plus
