In order to develop our business more strategically in the region Russia, Ukraine and CIS states we are in need of an experienced Business Development Manager to manage and support our distribution network for this region for the brands JOICO, ALTERNA, SEXY HAIR, PRAVANA & KUUL to drive sales and increase market share.  


  • Responsible for achieving the sales targets set for the defined markets
  • Creation of market and competitor analysis by market and determine market needs
  • Implementation of annual plans by brand (covering sales, marketing and education) for the specific distributors and their markets.
  • Motivate, inform and educate distributor and its staff on new product introductions and/or promotional activities with assistance of the different brand teams.
  • Implement and monitor (overall) marketing programs that are being offered to the regional distributors, professional salons and shops
  • Frequent in-country / salon visits with distributor sales teams to provide advice / training on the job
  • Set up basic working structures, guidelines and procedures for the existing distributors based on the company / brand philosophy.


  • University degree in commercial economics or sales
  • Minimum of 5 years international experience in a B2B environment, preferably in the professional hair care industry or a related industry such as cosmetics or fashion
  • Strong relationship builder, excellent communication, presentation and project management skills  
  • Well-developed analytical and pragmatic skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to speak to different levels within the client organization – management & executional level   
  • Result oriented, pro-active, independent work style with entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Willingness to travel 50% + of your time.
  • Good command of English & Russian in word and writing, additional languages such as German, French or Spanish are preferred.
