YOUR ROLE

Directs and coordinates activities of production personnel department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties or through subordinate supervisors and coordinators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing levels to meet the ever-changing business climate.
  • Supports a safe workplace environment by identifying and aiding to resolve unsafe practices.
  • Ensure staffing is thoroughly trained in the operations they are performing.
  • Continues to support and build upon a “Safety Comes First, Then Quality” attitude within their department.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • 4 – 6 years of direct supervisory experience with some within a manufacturing environment.
