Lead Quality Engineer

  • Utilize problem solving skills to lead cross functional teams in the effort to identify and eliminate true root causes leading to customer complaints and/or off spec production.
  • Reduce overall product quality variation by utilizing statistical analysis skills and Six Sigma methodology to drive process improvements.
  • Assume Integrated Management System Coordinator role and participate in process audits to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the IMS.
  • Lead efforts to complete required core tool documentation (FMEA/PPAP/MSA) as required.


·Bachelor's Degree within a relevant Science discipline

·Knowledge and experience with ISO/QS standards (9001/14001/45000)

·5-10 years experience in a Quality role in the chemical industry

·3-5 years of supervisory experience (preferred)

·Knowledge and experience with Six Sigma tools

·Experience leading teams and working with customers

·Experience in troubleshooting difficult problems in a plant environment

·Excellent project management and organization skills

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Experience with Adhesives or sealants and coatings knowledge a preference

·SAP proficiency preferable

·Must be willing to travel occasionally (10%)
