Job Summary:

  • Enters data of all incoming materials.
  • Coordinates schedule of receipts with trucking companies and the Materials Management Department.
  • Communicates correct information to trucking companies, vendors, and outside drivers.


Essential Functions:

  • Decipher bills of lading, packing slips and receiving logs.
  • Make accurate entry into the system (MAPICS / Vision Work Station) and Receiving log of all inbound materials.
  • Help tag and mark pallets, as they are unloaded from trucks.
  • Do special projects as assigned
  • Perform all functions related to the receipt of incoming materials (MAPICS / High-Jump systems)
  • Must know and follow all Safety and ISO procedures and work instructions relating to their position.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.

 Education and Experience:

  •  High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Good math skills.
  • Computer literate and able to handle extremely busy atmosphere.
  • Good telephone manner to communicate with outside vendors and transportation personnel.

Working Conditions: 

  • The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas where under certain conditions the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and hygienic precautions, such as hairnets, are required. 
  •  Temperature of the work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
  • Noise level in the work environment is normal to moderate.
  • Regular attendance is required.  Overtime may be required.
  • It is the responsibility of each employee to conduct tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations, company program standards, company policies, and special safety concerns while protecting yourself, the organization, and the environment.

Physical Requirements: 

  • The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
