Chemical Engineer for PD Adhesive Automotive Components - Team Polyurethanes (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products in the field of Polyurethanes as agreed with the business direction team and product development management for automotive components, and in accordance with relevant quality management procedures meeting ISO / IATF requirements
  • Design and prepare lab formulations for one and two component Polyurethane adhesives
  • Specification testing of new developed products, set up of test methods, documentation of test results and preparation of PPAP documentation
  • Scale up and transfer of lab formulation into serial production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Create and maintain formulation data in SAP
  • Plan and organise activities to achieve high quality and timeliness of delivery according to
    required procedures
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels e.g. with customers, raw material suppliers and various functions within Henkel; presentations both internally and externally as appropriate

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor or ideally Master of Science in Chemistry / Material Science / Engineering
  • Professional experience in adhesive product chemistry or other relevant experience
  • Knowledge of polymer and polyurethane chemistry is desirable
  • Project- and time management skills are a plus
  • Ability for problem solving and organizational skills
  • Good communication, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Good collaboration in a team environment
  • Fluent English language skills, German and/or French are advantageous
