YOUR ROLE

• Product and process development for lubricants/lubricant additives with main focus on metal packaging lubricants
• Technical customer service, trial support of new products or processes at the customer, customer production line optimisation assistance including process analytical coordination, customer problem solving
• Product line support, application support for production, sales and field technical service in Germany and abroad
• Marketing, promotion and implementation of technological improvements
• The position is aligned globally and regionally (main focus Europe)
• Position is laboratory based but travel off site to the customer premises is expected

YOUR SKILLS

• Min. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry required, Master's degree preferred
• Ideally 3 years of professional experience in chemistry or chemical engineering
• Good understanding of lubrication technology, especially in the field of metal packaging 
• High degree of independence, creativity and self-motivation is required in dealing with customers and performing the daily work in the laboratory
• Fluent written and spoken English required due to the composition of the Metal Packaging team, their customer base and the need to interact with global teams; German language is advantageous
• Willingness to travel approx. 5% within Europe
