  • The role of the AEI TCS Technician is to perform applications testing and lab work on products as described by the supervising TCS Engineer to ensure that newly developed and commercial products function effectively in customers applications and processes
  • This can also be experimental work in support of investigation of quality issues
  • Operating complex, programmable dispensing, mixing/dosing and other automated equipment is part of the job
  • The TCS technician is expected to support customer visits and in house training initiatives for Sales, Distributors and customers
  • It is the expectation that the technician can report the results in summary reports in English with conclusions and eventually communicate directly with the customer
  • The position will be for 6-9 months in Westerlo, Belgium and will then move to the ICD in Dusseldorf, Germany as of Sept 2021


  • Holding a Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Engineering
  • Having 2-5 years in a laboratory based technical role
  • Able to plan and conduct technical assignments independently and based on awareness of customer needs, able to set priorities related to the tasks assigned
  • Must have the ability to understand and apply lab procedures according to SOP and set up, operate and maintain new and existing laboratory-, analysis- and application equipment
  • Able to prepare laboratory reports which need to clearly show information in a logical manner
  • Good communication skills in English (verbally and in written form) is mandatory
  • Able to write SOP’s and test methodologies independently
  • Able to work on several tasks simultaneously without supervision and work in a multi disciplinary team
  • Demonstrating analytical and interpretational skills to analyze results and able to prepare findings independently and detect anomalies in results and procedures and to recommend next experimental steps
  • Able to prepare moderately complex graphs and charts and draw preliminary conclusions
  • Demonstrating critical attitude when carrying out experiments and collecting data
  • IT skills: standard Office tools, Teams, able to understand and program equipment software. Nice to have: CAD drawings skills
