Chemist for Product Development of Thermal Interface Materials (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products in the field of Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) as agreed with the business direction team and product development management for automotive components, and in accordance with relevant quality management procedures meeting ISO / IATF requirements
  • Design test series and lab formulations
  • Plan and organize activities for high quality on time delivery of results 
  • Formulate new thermal interface materials and work independently in the product development lab
  • Test the characterization and specification of new TIM development products, set up of test methods, documentation of test results 
  • Scale up and transfer lab formulation into serial production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Create and maintain formulation data in SAP
  • Prepare presentations on development projects for management, customers and technical audiences
  • Assure all PD laboratory work is carried out according to Henkel safety and quality standards and products and processes comply with all legal regulations

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor or preferably Master of Science in Chemistry / Material Science / Engineering 
  • 5 years of professional experience of polymer chemistry, preferably in silicone, silane-modified polymer or epoxy chemistry
  • Work experience with thermal interface materials and/or adhesive product chemistry or related fields is appreciated
  • Project- and time management skills are beneficial
  • Strong ability for problem solving, good organizational skills
  • Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate in a global and cross-functional team environment
  • Fluent English and German language skills
