Chemical Engineer for PD Adhesive Automotive Components - Team Silicones & Specialties (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products in the field of Silicones & Specialties as agreed with the business direction team and product development management for automotive components, and in accordance with relevant quality management procedures meeting ISO / IATF requirements
  • Lab work in performing formulations for adhesives, gaskets, potting and sealants
  • Specification testing of new developed products, set up of test methods, documentation of relevant
    test data and preparation of PPAP documentation
  • Support of process engineering and manufacturing during scale up trials and daily production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Create and maintain formulation data in SAP
  • Plan and organize activities to achieve high quality and timeliness of delivery according to required
    procedures
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels e.g. with customers and other functions within Henkel;
    presentations both internally and externally as appropriate

YOUR SKILLS

  • Diploma, Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemistry / Material Science / Engineering
  • Min. 1 year of professional experience in polymer chemistry, adhesive product chemistry or other relevant experience
  • Knowledge of silicone, silane and SMP chemistry would be desirable
  • Project- and time management skills would be a plus
  • Ability to independently draw up development plans and implement research and development work
  • Ability for problem solving and organizational skills
  • Good communication, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Good collaboration in a team environment
  • Fluent English and German language skills, Italian is advantageous
