Lab Technician for Product Development of Thermal Interface Materials (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products in the field of Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) with focus on megatrend e-mobility as agreed with the business direction team and product development management team for automotive components
  • Design test series and lab formulations
  • Formulate new thermal interface materials and work independently in product development lab
  • Characterize and specify testing of new TIM development products, set up of test methods, documentation of test results 
  • Scale up and transfer the lab formulation into serial production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Create and maintain formulation data in SAP
  • Prepare presentations on development projects for management, customers and technical audiences
  • Assure all product development laboratory work is carried out according to Henkel safety and quality standards, as well as to ISO/IATF requirements, and products and processes comply with all legal regulations

YOUR SKILLS

  • Completed education as a chemical laboratory assistant 
  • Professional experience in polymer chemistry, preferably in silicone chemistry; silane-modified polymer and epoxy chemistry also beneficial
  • Work experience with thermal interface materials and/or adhesive product chemistry or related fields is advantageous 
  • Project- and time management skills are beneficial
  • Strong ability for problem solving
  • Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate in a global and cross-functional team environment
  • Fluent English and German language skills
