Product Development Chemist Industrials (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products based on polyurethane technology and other reactive chemistries within the Industrial Adhesives EIMEA product development group
  • Develop state-of-the-art product solutions for the Industrials markets such as Water, Food & Beverage Filtration, Power & Automation, Truck & Trailer and Special Vehicles
  • Plan and do physical lab work such as preparation of formulations, synthesis of raw materials and polymers, analysis & testing of batches, products, competitor products, compiling of results and discussion with lab head
  • Propose direction regarding lab work, batch preparation and testing timeline
  • Support scale-up, pilot and customer trials
  • Ensure high standards regarding safety, 5S, lab organization and tidiness
  • Work in an international team of other chemists/engineers and lab technicians
  • Continuously learn, develop, and implement new testing methods and lab skills

YOUR SKILLS

  • Self-motivated Product Development Scientist, Chemist and/or Engineer, preferably Master or PhD in a related field
  • 2-3 years of work experience in laboratory environment 
  • Theoretical and practical experience in reactive adhesive chemistry
  • Experience with polyurethane technology is a plus
  • Strong practical lab skills and organizational skills
  • Self-dependent & efficient planning and performing of lab work and tasks
  • Fluent English language skills in speaking and writing, German is advantageous
