YOUR ROLE

  • Actively seeks to understand and utilizes the understanding of structure/function relationships pertaining to material performance delivered from a formulation matrix
  • Develops and conducts experimental designs and laboratory screening methods to measure desired performance metrics and for the creation of prototype products.
  • Reviews data, provides preliminary interpretation and draws conclusions. Proposes next steps and strategies of development efforts. Reports progress/issues on a timely basis.
  • Works closely with packaging, process development, safety and regulatory, testing functions, and manufacturing during the development and commercialization of products. 
  • Coordinates and in some cases leads projects and discussion with R&D cross-functional teams to ensure necessary tasks executed in a timely manner 
  • Develops “demo” to support commercial executions and /or “method” for technical proof-of-concept 
  • Fully understands Henkel’s Innovation process 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Education/Experience — Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of relevant laboratory and industry experience or advanced degrees with 0-5 years of relevant laboratory experience. 
  • Strong technical skill, excellent communication skills and ability to utilize good judgement to make timely, practical, and technically sound decisions have high tolerance for volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity; enjoys working in fluid environments that demand creativity. 
  • Certifications and licenses — NA
