YOUR ROLE

  • The analytical technician performs qualitative and quantitative chemical and physical analysis on a large variety of samples utilizing analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Chemists in this position are often assigned analytical projects to support product development (PD), technical service engineering (TCS), Process engineering (PE), operations, external customers and are also required to act as liaison to these departments in support of their chemical and physical testing needs.
  • The analytical technician must maintain a good working relationship with PD, TCS, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, Facilities and Shipping departments.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Perform chemical analysis and sample preparation in various areas of Analytical Chemistry using appropriate test methodology and instrumentation
  • Analyze, compile, and present test results for review and approval by senior chemist or Lab Manager
  • Maintain, calibrate laboratory instrumentation
  • Ability to work independently or as member of a team
  • Conduct analytical method development in several technical areas and instrument types and train personnel on a variety of analytical instruments and techniques
  • Plans daily activities needed to complete analytical assignments in a timely manner
  • Be proficient in at least one specific area of technical competency within Analytical Chemistry Department
  • Maintain safety, 5S and emphasizes the importance of safety related to equip
