Product Development Lab Technician - Adhesive Automotive Components - Electronic Materials (m/f/x)

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop new products in the field of electronic materials for the automotive industry in alignment with the Product Development management
  • Design and prepare lab formulations for one- and two-component, electrically conductive and non-conductive adhesives
  • Specification testing of lab formulations and development of test methods
  • Clear and concise documentation of lab work
  • Scale-up and transfer of lab formulations into serial production located at different manufacturing sites
  • Plan and organize activities to deliver high-quality results in a timely manner according to the requirements
  • Communicate test results internally

YOUR SKILLS

  • Lab technician, Bachelor or Master of Science in Chemistry / Material Science
  • Professional experience in adhesive product chemistry
  • Knowledge of polymer and epoxy chemistry is desirable
  • Ideally professional experience in the product development of electronic materials (electrically conductive and non-conductive adhesives, circuit board protection, encapsulation, potting materials)
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Fast and reliable lab worker with focus on lab work
  • Ability for problem solving and organizational skills
  • Open-minded team player with good communication skills
  • Fluent English skills, German is advantageous
  • Digital skills: Deployment of digital tools in laboratory management. Digital Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration
  • The position will be for 6-9 months in Westerlo, Belgium and will then move to the ICD in Dusseldorf, Germany as of December 2021
