Regional Key Account Director (Asian OEMs)

  • The Regional Key Account Director is fully accountable for managing and growing Henkel’s business with all the Asian OEM accounts in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) through the development and execution of regional strategic plans that align with global account strategies. incl. delivering annual revenue plan.
  • Challenges status quo to outperform sales plans and project pipeline and through that optimizes sales mix to achieve higher growth and margins.
  • Expands and develops long-term customer relationships with special focus on the senior technical decision makers, key executives and sponsors at the customer who are setting the strategic direction and making investment decisions.
  • Lead and manage eight members of the Key Account team to drive sales growth by development of key partnerships in the customer organizations to understand customer needs, identify unmet needs, and applies upstream solution selling techniques to capitalize on those opportunities.
  • Translates customers strategies and priorities into a joint innovation roadmap, steers budgets to achieve defined objectives, drives and rolls-out customer approvals in strong collaboration with the cross-functional Henkel team.
  • Stays up-to-date with professional selling and leadership skills to keep pace with the changes happening in the automotive industry as well as in-depth knowledge of Henkel products and their application in customer.


  • Bachelors of Science in a technical or business discipline, is required MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant account management experience in the automotive industry with a focus on technical and solution sales is required.
  • Previous experience with Asian OEM’s is required. 
  • Previous team management experience is required. 
  • Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategic initiatives resulting in sales growth.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong team player with track record of developing high performing teams.
  • Strong, financial acumen, CRM software usage and digital tools.
  • Regular travel within the United States/Mexico and Canada– approximately 40%.
