  • The Operations Manager for packaging of LHS/FHW (Liquid Hand Soap/Foaming Hand Wash) leads all activities associated with their respective packaging department which includes two high speed fully automated production lines.
  • This role drives performance, quality, and safety through direct coaching and leadership of the supervisors, line operators, and support team members.
  • The LHS/FHW team consists of approximately 30 members supporting a 24/5 operation that produces 60 million units annually.
  • Unlike peer operations managers, this role requires indirect oversight of the JIT (Just-in-Time) LHS/FHW receiving and shipping operation, ensuring inbound and outbound supply.
  • This role is also essential in driving schedule attainment, ensuring product availability to meet customer expectations. 


  • Provide a high degree of LEADERSHIP and COACHING to teams in the form of transparent communication, issue resolution, change management, education and empowerment. 
  • Strong leader with proven success in building engagement at all levels across multiple shifts toward the common goals of safety culture, quality performance, and driving machine efficiencies (OEE).
  • Coach teams to lead continuous improvement efforts in efficiencies (OEE), defect/stop reduction, to maximize profitability
  • Ensures the execution of the company and site strategy while ensuring compliance with company Quality, SHE, and financial policies, contracts and procedures
  • Optimize operational efficiencies (OEE) to support the production and shipping of 60 million annual units from the 2 packaging lines
  • Ensure operational standards are developed, clearly communicated, and adhered to across the 24/5 packaging operation
  • Adapt production plans on a shift by shift basis, managing through internal and external issues to prevent service issues and operational inefficiencies
  • Identify and coordinate improvements necessary to deliver the sites annual strategic plan. Ensure performance and cost gaps are identified, with targeted action plans and resourcing to close
  • Partner with scheduling and the supply departments (batch making, warehousing) within the vertically integrated site to ensure fluid coordination, alignment, and delivery on shared objectives across the operation.
  • Proactively manages demand for the departments, establishing work force and staffing plans to meet requirements.
