The Director of Sales, Drug & Specialty is responsible for driving profitable growth by partnering with customers to create and execute strategic platforms that deliver joint growth.  Achieves results through leading and developing customer account teams and enabling capabilities.  Location – Field or Region Henkel office location.


  • Sets vision, strategies, goals, and objectives for winning with Drug & Specialty Channel including Developing and implementing annual Business Plan (strategic sales plan) to accommodate customers strategy and Henkel’s goals.
  • Develops, mentors, and manages all levels of the local Sales team to retain and perpetuate the growth of the team and upward movement of talent within the Henkel NA sales structure.
  • Acts as a general business manager leveraging the understanding of brand strategies, category management, consumer & shopper insights, consumer promotions, manufacturing, supply chain, legal, and technical knowledge to successfully communicate & partner with accounts.
  • Navigates within a complex organizational environment; interacts & influences key stakeholders at multiple levels and across multiple functions at customer and internally within Henkel headquarters.
  • Builds trusting relationships internally and externally– listens carefully to understand needs, gains alignment with key stakeholders, then creates win-win solutions.


  • Bachelor degree in related business field; MBA preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of competitive CPG sales experience
  • Travel requirement of 45%
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and decision making skills
  • Excellent problem solver, collaborator
