·Advising every area of the business in UK, Ireland and Nordic regions on the management of legal risks encountered in their day to day business.

·Leading, developing and disseminating risk mitigation strategies for contractual and operational risks.

·Managing risk in legally binding documentation by drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and other documentation.

·Ensuring that the business understands Henkel’s obligations and potential liabilities inherent in each document enabling informed commercial decisions to be made.

·Analysing and advising marketing teams on marketing and advertising campaigns of Henkel products.Ensuring that they comply with appropriate regulations. Producing and circulating policies relating to digital marketing and data protection.

·Managing disputes with customers and suppliers, including advising the business, drafting appropriate correspondence and managing external lawyers, where necessary.

·Leading group-wide compliance activities, coordinating training programmes, overseeing fulfilment of both internal and external regulations, and supporting the development and implementation of globally internal compliance programmes and standards.

·Liaising with Henkel lawyers around the world to ensure conformity of advice given to the company and compliance with local laws.Where required, co-ordinating pan-European/global legal teams in negotiating contracts applicable in multiple jurisdictions.

·Managing and liaising with external legal advisers, when required, making decisions on the advice given and advising the business accordingly.


·Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE

·Previous experience ideally gained in-house or from private practice

·An understanding of commercial business practices

·Excellent communicator, able to communicate complex legal concepts

·Ability to analyse and recommend solutions to legal issues
