  • The Product Development Chemist will play a critical role in researching and developing groundbreaking technologies,
  • Identifies opportunities for new technology, products or performance improvements for sealants used in rigid metal packing applications for food, beverage and related industry.
  • Participate in multiple sealant R&D projects critical to business.
  • Supports scientific community of Henkel Adhesive Technologies both internally and externally.
  • Collaborates with and engages external customers and internal stakeholders.   
  • Responsible for new research, IP, publications, technology roadmap.
  • Acts as a technical advisor for management and steering committees.
  • Contributes actively in scientific publications and forums with papers and presentations.


  • BS, Chemistry, Material Science or a related field is required.
  • Background in polymer chemistry/rubber dispersion chemistry, materials science / mechanical property testing, or rheology desired.
  • 0-3 years of internship or work experience in chemical industry, lab skills for dealing with chemicals mixing, adhesive testing and data collection/reporting is required. 
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivator, team oriented, organized, hands on, resourceful.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel domestically (less than 10%).
