The Market Strategy Manager - New Business, will be responsible to expand Sonderhoff technology portfolio and establish new markets and business to accelerate growth. You will be responsible for every step of developing and validating, and eventually marketing, a new product or business model by actively developing / managing ecosystem partnerships and leveraging parenting advantage of incubator and SBUs.


  • Identifying and validating long-term demand creation opportunities by anticipating future market trends and capitalizing on new emerging technologies
  • Leveraging market and competitor research and use insights to identify and scope new business model potentials / white spots
  • Identify inorganic growth opportunities (partnerships, M&A) to drive topline growth
  • Evaluate technical abilities within Henkel to execute innovation proposals and make resource proposals if Henkel competencies do not match
  • Develop, nurture and manage an ecosystem comprised of partners that can contribute specific capabilities toward “co-innovating” and developing new products and services
  • Develop innovation launch strategy including a go-to market plan for new solutions leveraging the Sonderhoff "S3" business model across incubators and SBUs
  • Network internally and externally (startups; partners; universities; value chain partners, etc)


  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with a technical background, MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in automation, integration and dispensing technologies
  • Background in service and industry 4.0
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in supporting cross functional teams and broad business experience with covering several functional areas
  • Engineering driven entrepreneurial mindset
  • Innovation launch experience with strong understanding of other functions relevant to the position which includes sales, product development, product management, TCS, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory
  • Ability to fight for new ideas, challenge the status quo and engage key stakeholders to buy into growth strategy
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members and stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes
  • Skilled in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams both internally and externally
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced in driving growth in adjacent markets and white spaces
  • Knowledge in Business Strategy, Market analysis/development and segmentation
  • Fluent in English, German language skills would be a plus
