YOUR ROLE

  • Research and develop groundbreaking technologies in the field of renewable materials with a special focus for chemical synthesis
  • Identify opportunities for new technology, products or performance improvements
  • Lead a small lab team of qualified technicians
  • Lead one or multiple R&D projects critical to business
  • Actively make specialized knowledge available to the organization
  • Act as an ambassador for the scientific community of Henkel Adhesive Technologies both internally and externally
  • Identify and engage valuable external partners
  • Act as responsible for new research, intellectual property (IP), publications, technology roadmap
  • Secure IP position in own area of development
  • Steer and facilitate knowledge sharing and support project teams in solving problems
  • Act as an advisor for management and steering committees
  • Contribute actively to scientific publications and forums with papers and presentations 

YOUR SKILLS

  • PhD degree in Chemistry
  • 3 years professional experience in industry or cooperation with industry in the field of organic chemistry (synthesis)
  • Intrinsic drive to high quality lab-based research
  • High motivation to bring R&D results in high quality products and business success
  • Leadership skills to supervise a qualified lab team, Convincing and influencing skills
  • Good digital skills for office and R&D applications
  •  High team orientation as collaboration with other colleagues is key to success for this position
  • Fluent English language skills
