Mechanic Operator, 2nd Shift

YOUR ROLE

As a Mechanic Operator, you will:

  • Operates machines and production equipment safely in accordance with instructions
  • Sets up or adjusts equipment according to manufacturing specifications
  • Monitors the quality of output to identify or discard re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed
  • Coordinate and execute line production schedule.
  • Start up and close work orders autonomously without Packaging Supervisor support.
  • Complete material reconciliation at the end of a run ensuring order and inventory accuracy.
  • Plan and execute equipment washout and changeovers.
  • Direct line personnel in assisting with line changeovers to maximize changeover efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair/adjust minor mechanical issues on packaging line equipment, maximizing line OEE.
  • Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance on packaging line equipment.
  • Act as the Certified Trainer for the other operators on the line to learn and assist with PMs.

YOUR SKILLS

  • High School diploma
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/packaging equipment (. Knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2-3 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Sitting, standing and limited lifting
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to lift, bend and stoop without restrictions
