YOUR ROLE

  • Develops and executes global key account strategy (short-/mid and long term) aligned with the SBU strategy. Steers and supports all internal resources to execute account strategy. 
  •  Leads, coaches and develops the global and regional Key Account team.
  • Delivers sales project pipeline and optimizes sales mix to achieve higher growth and margins in line with SBU strategy.
  • Analyzes financial KPIs and proactively steers financial performance of key account business including defining account-specific pricing ambitions and running global/regional negotiations
  • Develops sustainable strong executive and cross-functional relationships at HQ and key locations
  • Steers joint innovation roadmap with customers and develops unique business model to gain competitive advantage and growth, drives customer approvals and pushes upstream solution selling
  • Establishes and shares customer intelligence with stakeholders

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical or business discipline is required, MBA preferred.
  •  10+ years of relevant account management experience in the automotive industry with a focus on technical and solution sales is required
  •  Previous experience with global account management of Automotive OEMs is required.
  • Previous team management experience is required.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and execution of strategic initiatives resulting in sales growth.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Fast, agile learner versatile in crisis management.
  • Strong team player with track record of developing high performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen incl. sales forecasting.
  • Familiarity with CRM software usage and digital tools.
  • Regular travel (predominantly United States/Mexico and Canada but also global) – approximately 40%.
