  • As Product Development Chemist, you will be part of a highly motivated team that develops groundbreaking technologies to prevent thermal propagation/ runaway in large battery systems in the e-mobility market.
  • Plan and develop new formulations with a focus on sealing, potting and coating applications
  • This role requires the ability to work with a diverse team that includes Manufacturing, Business, and Regulatory.
  • This position also acts as an ambassador for the scientific community of Henkel Adhesive Technologies both internally and externally.
  • Identifies opportunities for new technology, products, or performance improvements within Henkel’s existing portfolio.
  • Run and upkeep laboratory equipment, lead/support ongoing standardization, harmonization, and administration of laboratory test methods.
  • Document the performed lab activities in our digital lab management system and secure IP focused of current developments.


  • B.S. in Polymer Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Ph.D. or M.S. preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Bonding and Gasketing
  • Knowledge of Flame-Retardant raw materials and how they behave in adhesives, sealants, and coatings is a plus
  • Solution provider and Team player
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
