  • Be part of a team of highly motivated specialists in different regions that work together to further develop and communicate the Trade & Customs management program for Henkel Supply Chain
  • Manage projects to streamline import and export operations, with a specific focus on License- and electronic Customs Declaration Management
  • Manage the relationships and compliance requirements for third parties such as customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Monitor European customs regulations, adjust procedures and advise appropriate parties of changes
  • Manage the relationship and performance of the customs brokers
  • Develop and maintain training programs for business partners involved in trade matters
  • Further develop relationships with European Customs officials, internal and external legal counsel, internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Represent Trade & Customs on strategic projects with cross-functional and cross-regional teams

  • Bachelor (or comparable vocational degree) in Technical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade
  • At least 3 years of relevant trade and customs management experience
  • Excellent understanding of customs and trade regulations; experience with global FTA management as well as US (re-)export controls is a plus
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations Strong SAP GTS knowledge and an interest for digital developments in the field of Trade & Customs
  • Fluent proficiency in English is a must, German is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and team building skills to effectively implement Trade & Customs compliance requirements into business processes
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, experience with project management
  • Good time management, results oriented, can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to work in an international and culturally diverse environment
