What you´ll do

Project Level

  • Manages individual, complex, cross-regional innovation projects on operational level.  Projects will be an approximate equal mix of New Product Development and Existing Product Upgrades/Maintenance.
  • Creates and aligns on project time schedule and financial plan
  • Updates and reports on project progress and summarizes status of managed projects
  • Prepares and presents projects for decision meetings and reviews
  • Identifies risks and defines countermeasures
  • Takes lead in case of problems and conflicts

Program Level:

  • Manages and leads programs of related projects, including periodic program team meetings
  • Ensures alignment of program with global business / financial plans, technical / customer roadmaps, positioning, and conducts risk analysis and mitigation plans.
  • Identifies potential key gaps and develops alternative solutions in cooperation with Global PD Lead in order to meet the business targets
  • Provides regular updates on program progress to various decision bodies
  • Monitors activities on project level within the innovation programs with the individual project managers.

General

  • Acts as Innovation team’s liaison with designated Leadership Teams
  • Addresses cross-functional topics which impact multiple Innovation Projects and Programs, including, but not limited to, Supply Planning, Plants, Quality, Purchasing, etc.
  • Provides support to less senior IPMs.
  • Responsible for on-boarding of new IPM hires.
  • Lead a team of up to 5 direct reports depending on organizational needs.
  • Provides reporting and strategy support to SBU Portfolio Manager

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Technical / Marketing / Business field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10-15 years experience in industrial environment. 5+ years in Project/Program Management. Additional experience in Product Development, Product/Category Management, or Application Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience leading or managing complex projects
  • Ability to lead and influence without formal authority.
  • Experience working on or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communications / team leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Digital Skills: Excel and PowerPoint
  • Language Fluency: English mandatory, German and Mandarin are a plus.
  •  5-10% travel possible (International or Domestic)

The annual salary for this role is $130,000-$190,000.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
