About this Position

This role supports contract manufacturing operations by supporting new product development projects and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) activities. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure safe operations and successful project execution.

What you´ll do 

Project Management (NPD / Contract Manufacturing)

  • Support new product development projects across locally manufactured products (JPCM) and imported products (China, Thailand, U.S., etc.).
  • Manage project timelines, cost control, quality tracking, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate trial production and product launch activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and NPI teams.
  • Lead regular meetings with contract manufacturers to identify issues and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on key project KPIs.

SHE (Safety / Health / Environment)

  • Support and monitor SHE compliance at contract manufacturing sites.
  • Work with internal SHE teams to drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Build strong working relationships with local and regional teams, including Supply Chain, NPI, R&D, and Commercial.
  • Engage in frequent communication with overseas teams (especially the China NPI team).

What makes you a good fit

Must have

  • 3–5 years of experience in project support or project management is essential.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP.

Nice to have

  • Experience in FMCG or consumer goods manufacturing.
  • Experience working with regional or global teams.
  • Knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment).
  • Consulting background is welcome.
  • Experience in cosmetics, contract manufacturing, or new product introduction is highly desirable.
