YOUR ROLE

  • Lead technical development activities, leveraging analytical chemistry methods to the development of new product and innovation programs.
  • Develop and deepen technical knowledge and expertise of Henkel in detergents and formulations technologies, developing contacts with relevant internal and third-party technology providers; contribute to the development of an R&D technology strategy, identifying skill and competency gaps
  • Support technical teams in development of new products, acting as the technical gatekeeper of data quality, due diligence and performance criteria/standards; mentor and foster technical expertise in the Henkel R&D community



YOUR SKILLS

  • Ph. D. in Chemistry or related field with at least 15 years industry experience, or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline with at least 20 years of related industry experience
  • Experience in project and personnel management is a requisite; experience with suppliers, technology partners, trade organizations and associations strongly preferred (CSPA, SDA, etc.)
  • Experience in new product introduction is required
  • Basic personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases are required
  • Some mechanical aptitude and dexterity required for operating and maintaining scientific equipment is required.Some domestic travel may be required.
