Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung Scholarships

What we support

The foundation supports students worldwide in pursuing their educational goals. The scholarship program is in principle open to students from all disciplines. Economics and natural sciences are preferred fields of study. We do not support travel cost, internships, conferences, research stays or other short term events.


Whom we assist

The foundation primarily assists students who have demonstrated above-average performance in their studies and who do not have adequate financial resources of their own to complete their studies in good time.


How we provide assistance

Based on the specific situation of the applicant, the Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung offers various assistance programs:
• Monthly payments
• One-time payments
• Interest-free loans

The Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung keeps a wide range of decision-making options open so that a high degree of motivation, ambition and willingness to perform can be honored.


How to apply

To ensure that your application is processed, all the documents listed below have to be available in the Online application portal:
1. Letter of motivation (maximum 2 pages DIN A4)
2. Completed scholarship application form
3. CV in tabular form
4. A copy of your high school diploma or comparable document
5. Certificate of enrollment for your course of study
6. Performance record (grade transcript)
7. Two letters of reference from professors concerning your planned course of study as well as your personal and academic qualifications
8. Income statements from yourself and your parents.


When scholarships are granted

For bachelor’s degree programs, the earliest date for applying is after the successful completion of two semesters. For master’s degrees or doctorates, the application may be filed when the program of study commences. For other degree programs, an application may be filed no earlier than after two semesters have been completed.
