Your Role

·       Supports all technical aspects for chemical processes in Manufacturing.

·       Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of mixing operations with a goal of improving quality, increasing capacity, and reducing costs. Evaluates and recommends changes in, or purchase of process equipment. Prepares Capital Expenditure Requests for capital requirements related to the process operation.

·       Manages activities for all approved CER’s from purchase order placement to implementation and production startup.

·       Ensures that all new equipment meets and performs to specification prior to closing the CER.

·       Trains all production operations and maintenance mechanics in the proper programming, set-up, operation, and maintenance steps and techniques for building and process equipment.

·       In conjunction with Maintenance Mechanics, develops and implements all preventative maintenance programs relative to the Manufacturing process. Monitors the effectiveness of these programs and improves upon them as required.

·       Works with Maintenance Supervisor to determine required spare parts inventories for the Manufacturing process. Monitors spare parts requirements based on actual experience and recommends adjustments as required.

·       Works with E H & S Administrator to ensure all process equipment is equipped with appropriate safety devices and all promotion operations are trained in the safe operation of all manufacturing process equipment.

·       Uses statistical analyses to analyze processes and process capabilities with a goal to bring them into statistical control.

·       Works with Process Manager and Production Supervisors in order to meet daily production needs.

·       The Process Engineer has the authority to evaluate and recommend changes or purchases in process equipment relative to Manufacturing.




Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

·       Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a chemical plant environment.

·       PC, PLC, and controls experience required.

·       Familiarity with statistical process control techniques highly desirable.
