YOUR ROLE

  • Oversee day-to-day activities for Henkel's  Prescott’s Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems to ensure conformance to ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, Henkel Standards and compliance to governmental (local, state, federal) regulations. 
  • Periodically apprise the site’s business management team on the status of the site’s SHE programs and recommend opportunities for improvement.  
  • Responsible for the site’s Regulatory Approval process and will interact on a daily basis with various facility employees as it pertains to SHE issue. 
  • Develop procedures and programs, maintain and update current systems and perform appropriate training as required to support the site’s continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Performs internal audits (i.e. JSAs, ISO, Procedure Audits, Ergonomic Assessments, etc.) to ensure compliance to SHE standards and regulations.
  • Provides a monthly report to SH&E and Site Manager regarding the site’s environmental, health, and safety compliance and recommends necessary improvements.
  • Leader of the site’s Safety Committees.


YOUR SKILLS

  • BA/BS degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related  required  

  • 5+ years of experience in safety and health related functions, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry. 

  • 2 or more years of Project Management Experience 

  • Experience with air permitting and OSHA reports required. Must be able to track and submit all emissions and hazardous material reports to the state. 

  • Experience with ISO 14001 preferred. 

  • Certified Safety Professional
