YOUR ROLE

-The Senior Product Development Chemist is responsible for leading on-time development and driving to commercialization of innovative and cost-effective adhesive and sealant products for the North American professional and retail markets.

-Incorporate Henkel concepts of Safety and Sustainability into all aspects of the product development process.

-Committed team-player with local and global mindset - develop and strengthen functional relationships with vendors, Manufacturing & QA, Technical Service, Marketing and Sales. Lead and participate in cross functional teams..

-Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant Scientific, Regulatory and Technical advances and apply to key objectives.

-Operate at all times in compliance with Henkel EHS policies, Sustainability Standards and work processes (SAP, Stage Gate etc.).

-Produce timely project completion and project status reports replete with high quality data analysis.

-Develop Intellectual property. Participate in the disclosure and patenting process. Maintain comprehensive project records in time

-Use a systematic planned approach and methodology to complete product development from the ideation phase through development to scale up and commercialization

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent qualification


-Experience with design, synthesis and testing & evaluation of adhesive and sealant products based on reactive systems such as PU’s, SMP’s and Silicones.


-Goal oriented with strong project management skills. Strong, transparent open communicator across all organizational levels.


-Highly motivated with Highly motivated with hands-on approach to laboratory work.
