eCommerce Manager

YOUR ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join as eCommerce Manager; a high profile position reporting directly to the Sales Director. This role will lead the strategy to grow exponentially with our pureplay eCommerce accounts (Amazon & Ocado), will work alongside colleagues on online execution with our key ‘brick & click’ retailers and act as the eCommerce champion across the wider business. As part of this exciting role you will also be looking at new/currently unexploited growth opportunities in the short, mid and longer term and able to tap into our global digital innovation and transformation platform, Henkel X, as well as the new Laundry & Home Care Global Customer & Digital Strategy unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership over the eCommerce channel and satisfy an incurable entrepreneurial flair.

The key challenges will include:

  • Set, lead and implement the eCommerce strategy to over-deliver with pureplay eCommerce accounts within agreed budgets and strategic guidelines.
  • Deliver against budget, net sales and profitability targets.
  • Work alongside colleagues to drive online execution excellence with our key ‘brick & click’ retailers.
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing to guide pureplay accounts media, content, merchandising and assortment strategy to achieve ‘Shelf Excellence’.
  • To be a driving force in upskilling Laundry and Homecare colleagues across sales and marketing in eCommerce.
  • Drawing best practice from the global Henkel network to the benefit of the UK execution and championing UK eCommerce whilst sharing best practice results and insights.
  • Become an ‘expert’ of the categories in which we operate, able to identify appropriate opportunities for new business and be able to sell Henkel Laundry and Homecare to new customers.
  • To leverage insight from other business units, countries and your own research/analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Exceed expectations and make things happen, ensuring we outperform the market and customer growth.


YOUR SKILLS


  • Demonstrable success in eCommerce National Account Management or Direct to consumer eCommerce role – Amazon experience required
  • In depth understanding of the online customer journey for pureplayers
  • Understanding of how to maximise the Amazon opportunity and drive channel profitability for Henkel
  • A strategic thinker, with strengths in planning and forecasting
  • Ability to influence at all levels and effectively educate on eCommerce to all understanding levels
  • Fully experienced in all aspects of P&L management.
  • Prior experience working with tracking agencies such as BrandView, Clavis, ChannelAdvisor, Profitero.
