 YOUR ROLE

  • The Process Engineer serves as a technical expert as it relates to Mentor manufacturing processes and ensures new equipment installations leverage the latest state of the art technology

  • Contribute to new product/process development and new equipment selection; contribute to capital project design, execution, commissioning, and ongoing operations as it relates to production process and equipment

  • Identify improvement opportunities in all areas of the site operations, focusing on production processes and equipment, develop project proposals, and lead or facilitate improvement projects

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), methods, and standards for manufacturing activities

  • Prepare capital requests and implement when approved and identify and implement cost reduction opportunities

 YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related degree (Mechanical Engineer)

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, polymer manufacturing preferred, including Process Engineering, methods/standards development, plant/process layout, capital equipment justification and implementation, and cost estimating

  • Solid working knowledge of polymer production processes preferred

  • Familiarity with OSHA’s Process Safety Management Program, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems preferred

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
