Manufacturing Supervisor - Second Shift

YOUR ROLE

  • Execute special projects as assigned by the Plant and/or Production Manager and monitor manufacturing performance in real time and post mortem. Adjust production in a timely manner to improve performance.
  • Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed. This includes accident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, implementation, and follow up. Continually drive Employees and Temporaries to deliver a safe and clean workplace (5S). 
  • Communicate daily with Materials Management to maximize Henkel's ability to service the customer while optimizing labor efficiency. This includes managing work levels, staffing and minimize overtime. Communicate throughout the shift with Hourly Employees and Temporaries to ensure a constant exchange of ideas, concerns, and information.
  • Independently and successfully drive the HPS program to full depth of integration in areas of responsibility.  Formally communicate status of HPS programs to management as required.
  • Lead, inspire and empower Employees and Temporaries to transform the organization to Lean through constant waste elimination and pursuit of perfection.    

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Business discipline is preferred. 
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
  • Demonstrates leadership, excellent problem solving, and conflict management skills (horizontal and vertical). Must be able to embrace/drive change.
  • Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, SAP (preferred), and Lotus Notes.
  • Must be available to work  3 PM to 11 PM Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend work
