Facilities Manager

YOUR ROLE

  • Manage the facility operations for Warehouse, Front Desk Administration, and Maintenance at Henkel's Chanhassen, MN location. 
  • Potentially plan and manage new manufacturing and/or packaging operations.
  • Manage the transformation of the Chanhassen site into a Henkel Center of Excellence for the adhesives electronic business. 
  • Manage and develop staff including selection, recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, and motivating employees. 
  • Coordinate facility activities with departmental managers/supervisors to ensure the total facility objectives are accomplished in a safe, ethical, and environmentally sound manner. 
  • Actively support and enforce the facility SHE standards. Lead the facility Safety Committee and emergency response teams.
  • Review facility goals and metrics against various quality, customer and regulatory standards and requirements to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement. 
  • Manages site facilities operating and capital budgets.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or facilities management environment required. 
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process and continuous improvement programs and procedures. 
  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma initiatives. 
  • Working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, particularly related to personnel and process safety, air, waste, and water compliance and sustainability.
  • Solid project management skills, team leadership skills, and excellent communication skills
