This position will be responsible for the leadership of the North American Functional Coatings (FC) business and a member of the Global FC leadership team.

Reporting directly to this position will be 3 Regional sales managers and 2 business development managers with total staff responsibility of 23 sales professionals in North America.

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic business plans with their personnel, the product development and technical customers service teams, the distribution partners and end customers that will assist the FC organization in realizing their goals and objectives.

  • Responsible for 32 Million in total revenue
  • Develop and implement Henkel key strategic initiatives in line with global targets
  • Responsible for overall business working closely with leaders from technical service, Product Development, marketing, and operations
  • Develop long term NA strategy to including M&A, new markets, and new to world technologies 
  • Coach and develop future leaders within Henkel organization
  • Establish Top to Top relationships at key accounts 
  • Position will report to Global business head


  • 7+ years sales management experience

  • Background in the Chemicals or Paints& Coatings markets

  • Experience in international environments/ networks  

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably MBA 

  • Ability to travel ~40% overnight

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including giving presentations

  • Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements at high levels
