Product Development Lab Technician (Entry Level)

YOUR ROLE

  • The Product Development Technician will support the rapid development/introduction of new, improved, or replacement products related to bonding and sealing applications in the automotive industry.
  • Assist in determining appropriate product changes and applications dependent upon customer, situation, and equipment capabilities in conjunction with field representatives.
  • Perform needed testing for customer requests and record quality data from all assigned projects or tests performed.
  • Write Operating Procedures and Work Instructions and assist with training customers and new personnel.
  • Coordinate and track product modifications/adjustments and customer requested projects.
  • Participate in product line trials and troubleshooting efforts in conjunction with field representatives.
  • Participate in Quality Initiatives

YOUR SKILLS

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Chemistry or related scientific or technical field is required.

  • Prior experience in a chemistry lab setting is desired. 

  • Excellent organizational skills and record keeping

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work independently

  • A working knowledge of computer software needed to perform duties (Microsoft Office Suite, Statistical software, SAP desirable)
