Senior Technical Customer Service Engineer

  • Familiar with semiconductor and electronics industry
  • Conducts some applications engineering laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.

  • Successful at solving a variety of customer issues with supervision.

  • Assists in maintaining project timelines.

  • Ability to self-generate project work to gain further understanding of key issues at stake.

  • Conceives novel approaches to application process development, troubleshooting, and material characterization.

  • To verify, troubleshoot and provide solution on technical issues happened at customer sites.

  • To handle technical and application related enquiries from customer.

  • To provide product recommendation to customer.

  • To work closely with internal team (Sales, plant, QA, product development, etc) to ensure projects/issues are successfully closed.

  • To provide technical and analytical support to team when required.

  • To provide product presentation and training to customers.

  • Use of structured DoEs to optimize processes and/or determine root-causes and clearly conveys key learnings, recommendations and path forward to team/department.

  • Responsible for completing material screening and/or beta-site testing plans.

  • May lead customer interaction/communications.

  • Use of Project Management skills to drive projects to completion.

  • May give specific work direction to one or more technicians.

  • Develops & presents presentations and webinars


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
  • Experience working in a Chemical laboratory, Surface Mount or Semiconductor Packaging environment is preferred.

  • Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs.

  • Experience in writing technical papers or reports as well presenting results to some technical teams.

  • Solid interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.

  • Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred
