Operations Manager

  • Direct the operations of the assigned department through subordinates, stimulating maximum efficiency and productivity while meeting safety, quality, scheduling, production, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure timely manufacturing of products to satisfy customer service and quality requirements.

  • Manage expense spending in manufacturing and continuously identify and implement cost reductions. Drive continuous improvement in product cost and manufacturing processes.

  • Review utilization analysis and direct schedule of production. Allocate staffing resources based on the production schedule. Understand the root causes of problems and develop and implement solutions to problems. 

  • Define and recommend objectives in each area of responsibility, develop specific short-term and long-term plans and programs with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.

  • Ensure that duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of all direct and indirect subordinates are defined and understood. Develop subordinates to grow in their respective areas of responsibility. Focus and direct associates on improving efficiencies and reducing costs.

  • Support new product initiatives, equipment upgrades, etc. to ensure their successful implementation within manufacturing.

  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, safe work practices and a safe work environment.

  • Adhere to plant SHE policies/procedures, report hazardous conditions or risks follow department SHE rules, PPE requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), ISO regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures. Ensure compliances with policies, procedures, processes and applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. ISO, GMP, EEOC, OSHA).


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, or other fields related to manufacturing management required.

  • Minimum 7 years experience in manufacturing. Proven leadership skills, must be able to recognize and support plant performance and priorities.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

  • Advocate a team concept. Proven ability to motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth. High energy level, capable to handle multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
