  • Participates as a key member of the Plant staff. 

  • Provides business knowledge, leadership, and direction that support plant objectives.

  • Manages recruiting, employment processes for all employees, and new employee orientation.

  • Responsible for employee relations; administers and interprets policy, procedure and practice. Manages the disciplinary action policy and procedure. 

  • Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal legal requirements and regulations including employment matters on FLSA, NLRA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, ADEA, COBRA, HIPAA, and OSHA. 

  • Manages compensation and benefits programs to ensure compliance and equity. Conducts local labor market wage surveys to determine competitive wage rates. 

  • Manages performance management process, Workers' Compensation and unemployment issues.

  • Prepares employee separations and related documentation and conducts exit interviews.

  • Responsible for maintaining HR Management Systems, participating in annual audits, implementing Social Responsibility


  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration or related field with at least 5 to 7 years professional HR experience is required 

  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in areas such as dispute resolution, performance management, employment law, employee relations, recruiting/ staffing, communications, training, compensation and benefits administration, and record keeping

  • HR experience at a manufacturing plant is required. 

  • Experience supporting employees in multiple locations is preferred. 

  • Ability to travel 20% time
