Continuous Improvement Leader

This position serves the role of leading the site’s Lean Enterprise initiatives in the safest, most efficient manner possible that meets or exceeds our roadmap for improvement. In doing so, the LE Site Leader bears responsibility in the following areas:

  • Immediate correction of safety hazards. 

  • Stoppage of activity due to concerns regarding safety, quality of product, equipment damage, etc.

  • Activities of this position have the potential to have significant environmental impact. Conformance with all environmental management systems policies and procedures is mandatory. 

  • Execution of duties in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures including accurate and timely completion of required paperwork. 

  • Lead initiatives in the following areas: Standardization of Processes, Operational Systems, Lean Enterprise elements (Six Sigma, VST, 5S, A3, TPM, etc.), Supply Chain Improvements, and Professional Development and Training


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain 

  • Five years of experience in lean manufacturing environment 

  • Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, A3 experience

  • Competent in project management, possessing the ability to lead continuous improvement workshops/events 

  • Key Performance Indicators – understanding of the following: FPC-L13, Freight and warehouse costs L-11, OSMI L-16, Inventory cover days, Operator productivity (kg/man hour), Cost of poor quality (COPQ), and Lean Enterprise score improvement
