Regulatory Affairs Manager - Retail and Professional

  • Work collaboratively with PSRA Director in order to define and implement the regulatory strategy & within R&D community to define NA and global registration dossiers and technical documentation. If required, attend meetings with regulatory bodies in order to confirm submission requirements. Ensure high quality and accuracy of the dossiers vs. the agreed requirements and highlighting of any potential issues, working with the authoring functions and other local counterparts.

  • Support key innovation initiatives as required assigned by management. Be aware of key requirements and tak into account to deliver a ‘right first time’ approach to new product development.

  • Responsible for project management of Regulatory requirements & dossier/technical file creation in line with the project strategy.

  • Assist in monitoring, collecting, interpreting and sharing with business partners, regulatory issues and trends that will impact Henkel Beauty products, policies and procedures. Assist in the development of strategies and plans of action to address them. 

  • Assist in the preparation of responses to address significant regulatory and PR issues. Support internal investigations into allegations of non-compliance

  • Devise, and deliver to business partners, training materials that optimally prepare the business for the present and future regulatory environment

  • Responsible for delivery of dossier/technical file to agreed time frames and collaborate across partner functions to ensure timely delivery of all information required, to enable robust and consistent project updates. Supports work required to refine Regulatory processes and procedures to optimize accuracy and efficiency, thus enabling speed to market.

  • Participate in trade associations and/or alliances to support Henkel’s beauty care needs, as directed by management


  • Educated to honors degree level in a scientific field or equivalent experience. Good understanding of the FMCG industry.

  • Proven Regulatory Experience and knowledge in NPD and dossier/technical file creation. Experience in different regulatory classifications (cosmetics and OTC). People management is a must.

  • Knowledge of the Regional and Global regulatory environment and how it impacts regulatory dossiers and registration. Experience in preparing and submitting dossiers, California and Canada regulatory frameworks for Cosmetics and OTC. Understanding of global product development practice, rules, regulations and guidelines.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, managing the relationship and building trust. Able to build effective working relationships and deliver results in wide range of environments and cultures.
