General Mechanic

YOUR ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 • Troubleshoot and make professional repairs to various types of process, utility, and facility equipment and systems as necessary with minimal down time. 

 • Perform quality preventive maintenance as necessary to ensure peak operating condition and equipment reliability to minimize any down time related to equipment failure

 • Work as a team member to proactively ensure repeat problems are identified, initiate systematic problem solving, identify true root causes, and drive towards long term corrective actions. 

 • Utilize available resources (associates, manuals, training department, policies, etc.) to determine and identify the root cause of upset conditions and take appropriate correction actions. 

 • Review equipment manuals and other resources to become proficient and maintain knowledge of operational equipment and perform maintenance (reviewing equipment manuals is a must).

YOUR SKILLS

 REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field OR 3 yrs equivalent work experience required
  •  Requires basic working knowledge of various types of process, utility, and facility equipment and systems.
  •  Working knowledge of current fabrication techniques in order to fabricate simple guards, brackets, fixtures, and components and working knowledge of interpreting sketches, written instructions, rigging equipment for removal, installation, and transportation.
  •  Must provide own tools and toolbox
  •  Must successfully complete Mechanical Maintenance Skills Assessment.
