Global Trade Manager

  • Be part of a team of highly motivated specialists in different regions that work together to further develop and communicate the Trade management program for Henkel

  • Manage projects to streamline import & export operations, including customs management and IT solutions • Manage the relationships and compliance requirements for third parties such as customs brokers and freight forwarders

  • Manage/support export classifications, export licensing, screening/order release, import clearance, and/or Free Trade Agreement processes
  • Establish & maintain relationships with, internal and external legal counsel, internal stakeholders and external agencies as appropriate


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade or equivalent experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant trade and customs management experience within a global manufacturer

  • Understanding of customs classification, the Harmonized Tariff System and customs valuation, LCB a plus
  • Experience with export licensing (ITAR/EAR), export classification, and compliance audits
  • Strong understanding of US and Canadian customs and trade regulations; experience with FTA management as well as US export controls is a plus
  • Key expertise - SAP GTS knowledge and an interest in digitalization/automation in the field of trade and customs
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, experience with project management
  • Highly organized. Good time management, results oriented, can-do attitude.
