Bastian started his first company at the age of 16. Today he shares his experiences as an advisor with many other start-ups as well as senior managers in large organizations facing digital transformation. His company, Jovoto empowers creative talent and shapes the future of work. Jovoto is an open innovation platform enabling global brands to transform their products, businesses, and services.

Wiley published Bastian’s first book, “Crowdstorm: The Future of Innovation, Ideas and Problem Solving”. His work has been featured in various press outlets such as The New York Times, Fast Company, Huffington Post, Die Zeit, and Der Spiegel. He discusses mass collaboration, open innovation, and the future of work as an active speaker at international conferences. Bastian has degrees in computer science (University of Siegen) and communication design (University of Arts in Berlin).
