Henkel ranked among the “Best Brands 2014”
For the first time, Henkel has been ranked among the top 10 in the “Best international corporate brand” category in Germany’s “Best Brands Awards”.
“Best Brands” are brands that are not just commercially successful but also create an emotional connection – and Henkel is now among the brands to receive this accolade. Since 2004, awards have been presented annually in the following categories: “Best product brand,” “Best corporate brand” and “Best growth brand.” In addition, “Best corporate brand” has also been awarded at an international level every other year since 2012.
What makes the awards special is that the winners are selected not by a jury but by the consumers themselves. Based on a representative empirical study conducted by the leading German consumer research institute Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK), brands are ranked to reflect the reputation of German companies in the domestic market as well as in the major export countries of the five most important economic areas, including the USA, Russia and China. Brand success is measured by two key criteria: actual economic success and the popularity of the brand as perceived by consumers.
