Recognition for sustainability engagement
The Office of the Ministry of Social Development´s in Argentina has notified the authorities of Henkel Argentina that the company has been included in the “Register of Social Responsibility Organizations”, a regularly updated list of companies that carry out sustainable projects related to social responsibility.
The list serves to register and recognize public and private organizations that implement activities in four areas: human rights, environment, labor standards and anti-corruption. Before a company is added to the list, the Office of the Ministry of Social Development assesses whether its actions are compatible with the sustainable development of society, serve to preserve environmental and cultural resources for future generations, demonstrate respect for diversity, and promote social inclusion.
Among the highlights that contributed to this recognition are local contributions to Henkel’s global Sustainability Strategy for 2030, including development of a bio-solid waste treatment involving worms, growing participation of employees in the MIT Initiative, progress in the forging of strategic corporate alliances to enhance sustainability, and the Community Relationship Program, likewise instituted to promote the importance of sustainable development.
