Henkel France receives eco-design award

“Le Chat” - Persil’s French sister brand - scoops an award for its sustainable product features: The first “Choisir c’est Agir” (translates into “choosing is acting”) prize for eco-design goes to the product range Le Chat Eco-Efficacité (“eco-efficiency”).

The award is initiated by the retail group Casino and the GoodPlanet Foundation, a non-profit organization established by the photographer and environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand. It aims at honoring eco-friendly innovations in order to promote a more sustainable lifestyle, concerning production processes and consumption behavior.

The award itself is made of recycled paper thus reflecting the idea of “choosing is acting”.

The product range of Le Chat Eco-Efficacité has been developed with the aim of reducing environmental impact throughout all phases of the product life cycle, from raw materials to waste management. In 2013, the entire product range was certified with the European Ecolabel. In line with Henkel’s global sustainability strategy, consumers can “achieve more with less” by using the Le Chat Eco-Efficacité products.

In September, Henkel France had already received the LSA award for Diversity and CSR for its comprehensive initiative to engage managers on sustainability topics. This recent award for Le Chat’s eco-design further recognizes Henkel’s commitment to build a more sustainable future!
